After a hard day at work, Dad likes to kick back in a recliner and unwind while the kids play in another room. He promises to read them a bedtime story later, after his favorite sitcoms are over.

Meanwhile, at the end of her workday, Mom is starting her second shift. She feeds the kids, helps them with homework and music practice, gets them in the tub and ready for bed. When bedtime rolls around, as likely as not, it’s Mom who is reading the bedtime story.
