Welcome to my blog, ”Parched Ground”.

It is here that I will attempt blogging some very random thoughts on solitude, community, ministry, suffering, and compassion in the hopes of providing a partial glimpse into the joys and struggles of my own spiritual quest for God.  (I will also include excerpts from my previously published tomes.)  I do this with a sincere belief that communication is the secret to staying in love with my family, friends, and heavenly Father.  Thus, my blog is a love letter to all who have found their way into my heart.

The late Henri Nouwen once said that “joy is the result of our choices.”  My prayer will be for you to have joy for your choice to be with me today.  And, when you leave this blog that whatever is from God to be remembered; and whatever is not, to quickly fall by the wayside of life.

For all those on parched ground, I remain …

Thirsty for Christ’s Love,

Michael+
